Kenya

BioRegional Kenya was established in 2011 and is based in Kisumu on the shores of Lake Victoria. We are currently building our network of local expertise and creating a presence with communities and local governments. We are looking to apply the principles of One Planet Living to new and existing communities, demonstrating how the framework can improve people’s lives, while creating resilience against the effects of climate change and the limited natural resources.

More about BioRegional Kenya

We are excited to have a presence in Kenya, a country with a vibrant culture and abundant wildlife.

Kenya is particularly vulnerable to the effects of climate change and is home to some of the poorest communities in the world. Sustainability and local resilience is close to the hearts of local communities and the One Planet Living principles are able to provide a useful approach for development.

We seek to partner with local government, community groups and developers to implement projects that improve people’s lives in Kenya. We are working towards an equitable future where people live healthy, happy lifestyles within the available resources.
