How to get started
We are always interested in hearing from developers and public bodies who are thinking about applying the 10 One Planet principles, plus with four regional offices we usually have someone in your area familiar with the local context.
We offer a number of preliminary services to identify the key challenges and opportunities for applying the 10 One Planet principles to your project, before deciding whether to work with us on writing a detailed One Planet Action Plan, for example visioning workshops or gap analysis if you already have outline plans.
Or, if you don’t think the One Planet Communities programme is right for your project, you may still be interested in a number of our technical consultancy services or in writing an Action Plan without having it reviewed for endorsement.
The One Planet Communities programme is run by BioRegional on a not-for-profit basis. We receive support from funding bodies including The Ashden Trust, The Skoll Foundation, The Body Shop Foundation and The Rufford Maurice Laing Foundation for our work on increasing local capacity to deliver sustainability solutions in poorer areas of the world. As such, we require our more affluent partners to pay for the services received including a donation towards the endorsement process. Details about the payment structure will be given once we have established the requirements of your project.
Please contact our Programme Co-ordinator, Catherine Sweeney, in the first instance at catherine.sweeney@bioregional.com. Catherine will then be able to direct your enquiry to the most appropriate member of the BioRegional team.
We look forward to hearing from you.
